Organised by the French Table Tennis Association (FTTA) under the aegis of ITTF, the 27 th edition of the individual World Cup will take place for the 4 th time in France (after Nîmes in 1995, 1996 and 1997) and only for the 6 th times in Europe (Courmayeur in 2001 and Liege in 2005).

A prestigious list of medal winners with Ma Lin, the winner of 3 editions, Samsonov, Primorac and Guo Yueha who won twice, without forgetting Jean-Phillipe Gatien who won in 1994 in Taipe.
